Photomathon Collective takes the shape of a collective international exhibition, which is presented in the home city of each of its participants. After taking the shape in 2003 of a photographic sale, presenting the work of photographers originally from Québec and Mexico, the Colectivo event evolved in 2004 into a exhibicion sale showing the images of 30 photographers hailing from Montreal, Québec and Guadalajara, Mexico. As time went by, the event evolved into its current format, where it is a more classical presentation, following a given theme and with a more precise artistic direction. The 2005 edition, under the name « Ouvert toute la nuit / Abierto toda la noche » brought together 15 photographers from Brussels, Montreal and Mexico showing works gathered under the notion of Home.

The section Photomathon satellite wishes to promote here the work of photographers from abroad, by sending their images to diferent exhibicion venues, therefore giving them the chance to present their work in Québec. Likewise, the organisers of Photomathon support the work of photographers from Québec who wish to present their work outside of the province and internationally.
